The village of Woodmancote nestles comfortably within the shadow of Nottingham Hill and the Cotswold Escarpment of Cleeve Hill. The village has slowly expanded over the years and now abuts its larger neighbour Bishop's Cleeve; separated only by the Honeybourne steam railway line. Woodmancote has its own junior school, village hall/playing field and to name just a few; a newsagents come general store, a hairdressers, two public houses and restaurants. Many more services are available in Bishop's Cleeve (less than a mile away). Woodmancote has at present some 3500 residents (1340 households) living in a mix of modern, older cottages and listed buildings.
